Panorama movie theater “Kosmos ” /Cosmos, the Space/ was opened 1964 and it used 70 mm wide “CinemaScope” film.
Recently the building changed its owners, thus all the old technical crap was thrown out. The Destiny was still merciful and has saved two very specific blocks from the waste conteiner. These blocks have been manufactured according to Soviet military standards, thus the relevant element base (like big Tantalum caps) – note the year number!!! and manufacturing procedures (incl. manually drawn serial numbers on subblocks). The year of manufacture for the blocks is around 1973-74. Enjoy the photos!
Dual Stabilizer of 27V.
And, another block (trails of some ad-hoc repair are visible). Most probably it was some kind of video amplifier. The black “5818” inventarization number is printed by a Japanese label printer – these first appeared in Estonia after 1976 (or was it 1977) Japanese Exhibition. These years, the very access to these label printers meant high nobility (read: belonging to номенклатура) 😉
BTW, these Germanium Transistors (П609А) were once made in Riga, Latvia.
The aestethics of my childhood 😉
